A 39-year-old man in Portland who got the hiccups on November 5th still has them according to several reports. Micky Cheney, a UPS worker, was making deliveries when he first got them but his wife said he still had them a couple of hours later. His wife Kerey explained, "The next thing you know, he's puking. I told him he had to go get checked out but he was like, 'What am I going to do, go to the ER and tell them I have the hiccups?'" It took a few days before Micky checked into the hospital, but doctors have been sedating him so he can sleep. His wife says that while Micky is able to sleep with the help of medication, "the second he opens his eyes" the hiccups return, adding, "It's like some random, abnormal act of God." Doctors still aren't sure what is causing his hiccups, but they suspect it is related to inflammation in his esophagus. Keri said, "I just ope someone will figure out what's wrong."
