An Australian man broke the Guinness World Record for longest video game marathon on Monday (November 19th) after playing the new game, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, for 135 hours and 50 minutes. The previous record had been 120 hours, seven minutes, set earlier this year. It took Okan Kaya seven days to set the new record, but he didn't do it straight all the way through. Under Guinness rules, players are allowed one 10-minute break every hour, and any breaks not taken accumulate. So Kaya was able to skip several breaks and have enough time to nap. He also exercised and alternated between sitting and standing positions to avoid problems like blood clots.
