Customers at a Pizza Hut in Richmond, Virgina called the local NBC affiliate after they saw a worker looking at naked women on his laptop. Customer Dawn McKissick, said, "It just shocked me... This is supposed to be a public place." Dawn's husband explained, "I approached the manager and he was like 'Okay. And the problem was?'" When an NBC 12 reporter showed up and asked staff manager Alexis Cunningham if they regret what happened, she said, "We do regret that they had to see that and experience a situation like that in our restaurant, but like we said, it was personal time. He wasn't on the clock." A legal analyst for the news station said it isn't illegal to display dirty pictures in public, adding, "The first amendment protects the freedom of expression and that includes the freedom to see and read and view materials that you wish to see. The McKissicks were not happy with that explanation. Leon said, "If the law is just that shaky. I am scared. I am afraid." (NBC 12)
