Two brothers who were fishing on the Amazon River spent two days canoeing 195 miles to a hospital after one of them harpooned the other in the face, apparently mistaking him for a fish. One of the brothers had just jumped into the water to check on the fish they caught in a trap when the other boy -- who apparently hadn't noticed that his brother had gone into the water -- stabbed his harpoon at the ripples in the water, mistaking them for a fish. The brothers spent the next two days trying to get to the Sao Gabriel da Cachoeira hospital while the victim still had the harpoon sticking out of his cheek. The weapon was removed on Thursday (April 11th) and the unidentified boy is recovering. (Huffington Post)
